Whether you’re ready to book a Colour Analysis, have a question about services, or just want to say hi — you’re in the right place.
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is personal colour analysis?
Personal colour analysis is a process that identifies the specific range of colours that best harmonise with your natural skin tone, eye colour, and hair colour. By determining your unique “season” or colour palette, you can select clothing, makeup, and accessories that make your skin look more vibrant, your eyes brighter, and your overall appearance more refreshed and cohesive.
What Colour Analysis system will you be using?
I am trained in and use the 23 colour system through the International Image Institute with Karen Brunger. Refined over the last 40 years, this is the most nuanced and in depth system available. Im my personal opinion it is the best system, and I am thrilled to offer the most accurate system to you.
Do I need to visit you in person for an analysis?
Currently all Colour Analysis sessions are done in person. If you are interested in a Virtual Consultation, please send me an email and we can organise everything.
How is my colour season determined?
Your analysis is based on your natural colouring, looking specifically at your undertone (warm vs. cool), depth (light vs. dark), and clarity (bright vs. muted). By evaluating these characteristics, we can identify which seasonal category—and sub-season—best complements your features, moving beyond basic rules to find a truly personalised fit.
Will my results change if I dye my hair or change my makeup?
While you might choose to alter your hair colour or wear different makeup, your underlying skin undertone remains constant. A professional colour analysis identifies the colours that work with your skin’s natural temperature and contrast, meaning your core palette will continue to serve you well, even if you experiment with your look.
We will even discover the best hair colours for your seasonal palette.
Are online colour analysis apps as accurate as a professional?
Automated apps and online quizzes are often inconsistent and may provide conflicting results because they lack the nuanced human eye required to interpret light, shadow, and undertone. A professional analysis provides a superior, manual assessment that ensures your results are based on an expert’s understanding of colour theory rather than generic algorithms.
What happens after I receive my results?
Once your season is confirmed, you will receive a digital guide and wallet swatch card. This resource acts as your lifelong reference, outlining your best colours for clothing and makeup and tailored advice on how to integrate your palette into your existing wardrobe and daily styling routine.
Can I still wear colours that are not in my palette?
Of course you can. However, after your consultation you might have a new view of the colours you wore before and your new palette. Your colour palette is a guideline intended to empower your choices, not restrict them. Think of your palette as a tool for effortless styling; while your “best” colours will always make you look your most radiant, you can still wear other shades by adjusting how you style them.
